Hi NWDI/NWDS experts,

For 7.0 based track, in NWDS 7.0 - I am trying to create a DC type: J2EE=> Enterprise Application, getting error.

Error says: New Project could't be created!

Log says, Invalid project description. , but I have given the name very simple, still its giving same error, and when I try creating other projects also, it is not creating.

Any suggestions?

I have found a lot of threads here, but no one help me.

The parameter idleStart is configured to false.

I try to keep BUILD_TOOL_JDK_HOME and JDK_HOME_PATHS as default, and try to set to java 6.

The build variant in CMS was configured too.

After the changes i restated the CBS service and try to import again in DEV system. But nothing happens.

If i import just one or all the components, it get a long time and catch the error showed above.

I have restarted the server a lot of time too.

Can someone have any idea how to fiz it?

Error in NWDS Deployment View

Hi all,

we are trying to deploy some test project from NWDS (7.3 SP12 PAT0000) to some newly installed Netweaver (7.40 SP7). But when clicking on the server in Repository View it asks for the password and fails.

In the deploy.log the following exception can be found:

Jul 30, 2014 1:58:58 PM  [Error ]: [#0]: Could not establish connection to AS Java on [<server>:50004]. Cannot authenticate the user. Wrong or missing security credentials (password) for principal [<myusr>], or the specified principal has no permissions to perform JNDI related operations.

The Netweaver Log shows that:

LOGIN.FAILED

User: N/A

Authentication Stack: service.naming

Authentication Stack Properties:

        template = SAP-J2EE-Engine

Login Module                                                               Flag        Initialize  Login      Commit     Abort      Details

1. com.sap.engine.services.security.server.jaas.BasicPasswordLoginModule   SUFFICIENT  ok          exception             true       Authentication did not succeed.

2. com.sap.security.core.server.jaas.EvaluateTicketLoginModule             SUFFICIENT  ok          false                 true

No logon policy was applied

If we try to do that on one of our existing 7.3 Netweaver Systems, everything works as expected. So the question is, what should be checked to nail this issue down?

hi,

I am creating a track using How_To_Create_Custom_App_ECO5200 by Hari Ravu .As I have created track and added following SC's

2.png

Now I navigated to transport studio and tried to check in the components, I found only 4 as shown in figure below.

1.png

All of them are checked in ,but import for SAP-SHRWEB in development tab got failed...Am I missing any dependencies or is there any order for importing SC's.I am still wondering why SAP-JEE ,SAP-BUILDT...are not visible in my checkin tab.Is there any problem with version....Any help is appreciated.

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to copy existing NW-BPM process to new software component version and have to transport to higher environments.

And also suggest me to create directly on NWDI or create locally and deploy.

Could you please guide me on this requirement.

java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out while doing check out of DC

Hi,

I have an unique error.

In our project, we have installed NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1 SP4 as the Portal Devlopment Server.

I have done all the steps for Post Installation Steps of NWDI.

Now, there is an SAP SRS Compnent being deployed in Portal and functional consultant are

also using it.

Component Name : ISRSRS05_0-20002510.SCA

Version: SP05 for IS-R-SRS 602.

Now, this component is already being deployed in our Portal Server SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1 SP4.

I was able to import this component in our NWDI track.

The dependent components of this .SCA are EP-BUILDT 7.0, SAP-JEE 7.0, SAP-BUILDT 7.0 and SAP_JTECHS 7.0

All the mandatory steps in Landscape Configurator and Transport Studio in CMS were done without error.

Then, I imported the NWDI track Configuration in NWDS 7.01 SP4.

I am able to import the inactive dcs of IS-R-SRS but when checking out, I am getting

Checkout failed: Checkout file failed (server response: Communication error [cause: Read timed out]):/TST/sap.com_IS-R-SRS/dev/inactive/DCs/sap.com/is/isr/srs/men/app/_comp/src/packages/com/sap/is/isr/srs/men/app/MainAppComp.wdcomponent /DJ1_TST_D~is~isr~srs~men~app~sap.com/src/packages/com/sap/is/isr/srs/men/app/MainAppComp.wdcomponent

The error in NWDS .metadata log is

!MESSAGE Feb 2, 2010 5:48:46 PM       com.sap.dtr.client.lib.protocol.requests.RequestBase     [Thread[main,5,main]] Error:
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out     at java.net.SocketInputStream.socketRead0(Native Method)     at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(SocketInputStream.java:129)     at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(SocketInputStream.java:182)     at com.sap.dtr.client.lib.protocol.streams.ChunkedInputStream.readLine(ChunkedInputStream.java:327)

But I can create activities successfully in NWDS (DTR).

I am able to write code in Compnent Controller of my custom SC VIN_PRD.

Now, my question is whether this is java.net.SocketException or incompatibility of software.

My delivery manager told me to get the older version of NWDS ie., NWDS 6.40 but I am sure

that will not work with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1 SP4.

There is an error in DTR log  server but on earlier date:

com.tssap.dtr.pvc.basics.transaction.AbstractSessionBoundTask#Java#background.outOfDBConnections#com.tssap.dtr.server.deltav.resources.log_messages#Service unavailable, running background task {0} failed. Hello Colleagues,

how is the SAP JVM 6's JDK installation procedure for NWDS 7.3 und Windows 7, please?

At Installation Guide for the NWDS I found the note regarding the option SAP JVM instead of the Oracle JVM.

The installation of Oracle JVM is quite simple (setup.exe) but how ist process here for SAP JVM.

I couldn't find any documentation regarding the installation process under windows.

As well no exe file at downloaded sar file.

Only "vcredist_x86.msi"???

Download SAP JVM6 vom Service Market Place

Support Packages and Patches --> A-Z Index -->N > SAP NETWEAVER> SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.3--> Entry by Component --> Application Server Java --> SAP JVM 6.1--> Windows Server on IA32 32bit--> SAPJVM6_42-10006998.SAR

Please, could anyone help me here?

Many thanks in advance!

Installing JDK 6 (1.6.0_21) on SAP NWDI - CBS

$

Hello Experts.

I have got a new project now:

I want to generate a JSP and deploy it on SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3.

First of all, I installed NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 with JDK 1.6.0_21.

We are using a NWDI 7.01 SP 7.

My Problem:

On our SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3 is a JDK 6 (1.6.0_21) running.....When I create a new Track in our NWDI, it has to be build by the Component Build Service also with JDK 6....

Can you tell me, how I set up the required JDK only for that new Track - but not as default for all Tracks in the NWDI.

P.S. It would be also very nice, if someone could confirm me, that the only required Software Component (SC) I need for deploying on NW Portal 7.3 is called: "SAP BUILD TOOL 7.3".

can we Customize of Biller Direct 6.35 without NWDI

Hi Team,

We are on NW 7.3 and UCES 6.35. We have to do lots of changes for UCES customization.

1.  As per our Basis team they can not install NWDI into the same server where EP core is there from 7.3 onwards (This might be restriction from SAP for 7.3 onwards).

2.  Because of the point 1 we can not install NWDI and we have to do customization without NWDI as we are not having any other JAVA server.

3. Now from 7.3 onwards SAP removed the SDM so we can not deploy from NWDS. so I think  we can not customize without NWDI from 7.3 onwards. please confim? if yes please tell me the way to achieve?

Hi All,

I have a portal & webdynpro application in the form of a single .sca file.

I unzipped the file using winzip and got two files - .ear and .epa.

I want to import this in NWDS to view the code and make some changes in webdynpro.

Can anybody give me the step by step procedure to do this?

Will surely award points for useful answers.

Hello Friends,

We have PO 7.3 EHP1 SP04 system. (PO - Process Orchestation Single Stack Java System)

I have installed NWDS 7.3 - EHP1 - SP04 version in my system.

(File : nwds-extsoa-7.3-EHP1-SP04-PAT0005-win32.zip)

I have designed NWBPM in NWDS.

When I try to add my PO System in Window --> Preferences --> SAP As Java, after 1 minutes, it displays a message "The following SAP instance cannot be accessed at present.".

Then I tried to add through MMC. Window --> Show View --> Other --> Management Console. Here also, it displays the same message.

I tried to check Network Connections : Window --> Preferences --> General --> Network Connections. Our PO host is not added. All the Proxy Entries and Proxy By Pass Entries are unchecked.

Then I see the .log file in the .metadata folder, the log is given below.

NWDS Will Not Start Because of Wrong JVM

I made the mistake of specifying a 64 bit jvm for NWDS 7.3 so it will not longer start and I don't see how to change the JVM. I looked in SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.ini and there was no -vm entry so I tried to add one but so far I have not bee able to change the startup from the problem 64 bit JVM.

How do I get NWDS 7.3 to use a specific JVM if it will not even start?

I have attached the error I get when I start NWDS...slightly marked up because I am not used to the new Windows 7 Snipping Tool.

Hello,

I get this message when NWDS 7.3 comes up during Install on Win7 32 bit. SAP does not recognize Oracle JVM. Does anyone know if SAP has a solution for this other than installing SAP JVM?

Thanks,

Mani

CM Services SAP.com DC´s

Hi guys, i´m working in a PO system the thing is that the basis team upgrade to a new SP, but we are having problems with the development configuration, we created it using CM Services at first place and now, after the upgrade the buildspace in CBS only contain the custom DC´s, all the sap.com DC´s are gone.

In the development configuration management inside CM Services via devinf we can see that the software component definition have the related SC´s but when we syncronize the all thing in the CBS we only have the custom DC´s and we can´t build the all thing anymore.

What do I need to check in order to get the SAP DC´s imported to CBS ?

thanks any help will be appreciated.

Hi All,

I have a portal & webdynpro application in the form of a single .sca file.

I unzipped the file using winzip and got two files - .ear and .epa.

I want to import this in NWDS to view the code and make some changes in webdynpro.

Can anybody give me the step by step procedure to do this?

Will surely award points for useful answers.

thanks

Hi Dude,

the version of my NWDS is:

SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio

SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 SP03 PAT0000

the update file downloaded is:

updatesite-management-tool-7.3-SP03-PAT0000-win32

whereas after the file updatesite-management-tool-7.3-SP03-PAT0000-win32.rar has been extracted, nothing happended when the executable file updatesite_tool had been triggered.

please find the message displayed in the console in the attached file.

so my question is:

how can i use this update file to update my NWDS to 7.31 version?

the java installed on my pc is:

1.6.0_07 SE runtime environment

thanks
